Executive Summary

Our trainings develop the deep leadership competencies,
presence, courage, compassion and confidence
to overcome the greatest challenges in your organisation, career and life.
We offer the embodied leadership learning experience globally. With strong attunement to Asia-Pacific, we enliven high functioning leaders and innovative organisations to go beyond deep instincts that compromise their greatest potential.

The Leadership Embodiment Model

The LE model draws from neuroscience, mindfulness and Aikido – martial arts principles and practices. Our programmes
cultivate leadership presence, confidence and compassion, for excellence even under challenges.

Studies show that at least 70% of communication is non-verbal. The LE model chunks down, studies and attends to that
70%. Our programmes are designed to awaken self-awareness through simple exercises, give language and hone a
growth mindset to our unconscious individual and group patterns and habits. Beyond opening up our insights, the LE
model provides potent yet simple practices for us to meet challenges with more skill and greater resources of power,
inspiration and creativity.

As a experiential and practical (not just theoretical) model, LE integrates all aspects of our intelligences to embody the
leader’s way of being in how we presence ourselves, how we think, how we relate to self and others, how we
communicate and how we act.

Fundamentals Level 1
Led by Ched Lee
2-day

Picture
Introduction to LE, language, practices and principles. Through simple physical exercises that apply light pressure, you are able to recognise the patterns that arise when you are in intense situations.

Once you are familiar with your patterns, you apply centering practices to shift to a more creative, compassionate and skillful state.

As dyads and as a group, you can benefit from open and honest body-led feedback free from story and emotional implications offering self-awareness. Each exercise enables body self-awareness to mature. Applying the LE centring practices trains the whole person how to self-correct. Opportunity is rich for the integral learning of compassion for self and others as lived experience. Sense of self-responsibility grows as each experiences their co-creative and interdependent part in situations – both the positive and difficult. You learn to map the LE process into real-life as more skilful response in difficult conversations. You are given the structure to commit practice and how to weave your practice into life.

You will learn to:
  • Shift to an open relaxed and centered state while under pressure.
  • Cultivate the 3 Leadership Competencies:
  1. Being inclusive, especially in difficult situations
  2. Listening to everything that is being said without taking things personally
  3. Speaking up for what you believe in, even when there is strong resistance

Practices you learn*:
Partner Centering Basic and 3 variations
Centred Listening in conversation
Advocating with resistance
Advocating & Listening
Leader - Follower
Entering & Including

Intermediate Level 2
Led by Ched Lee
2-day

Pre-requisite: Level 1

Level 2 is a deeper experential iteration of Level 1 plus new elements. The mind-body changes since Level 1. With biological time and practice, the ability to be self-aware and self-correct grows.

Level 2 provides you the somatic imprint of more nuanced mind-body patterns revealed as you are led to self-observe in a diversity of situations related to leadership challenges. Examples of these are being more visible, more challenged in one's convictions and being successful, You benefit from the somatic imprint of what happens when you skilfully move beyond your habitual patterns. This enables you to replicate the move-beyond more confidently, easily and quickly with practice.

You develop being quicker to self-observe (not self-judge), and are more able to apply the recentering practices to self-correct.

In Asian classes, many students noticed their tendencies to self-contain (holding energy in); to withhold (energetically and in speaking whether in content, timing or in style); and to feel challenged with speaking up effectively during conflict and strong emotions. The sword is an ancient tradition to then train capacity for power with benevolence, precision and clarity.

You will train towards :
1. Being quicker and more skilful in how you self-observe and have the form to self-correct moment-to-moment
2. Having more capacity for mental, emotional and embodied challenges of leadership, such as demands on your energy, being more visible/responsible/opposed/criticised, being successful
3. Building your tolerance and ability to think, act and speak with integrity to the vision you hold, even in opposition
4. Being more attuned with your inner sense of timing for more effectiveness, presence and ease for relating to yourself and others

Practices you learn*:
  • Visibility & Success
  • Bokken (wooden sword) for Advocating & Power
  • Multiple incomings
  • Attunement two-step
  • Declaration five-ways

Pre-requisite: Level 2

Retreats are an opportunity to come together with the community for more intensive practice of the LE work.

Living together, the group will take a deep dive using the container of self-inquiry and group support. The retreat intensive involves sitting meditation and LE partner exercises.

Wendy Palmer guides our group meditations. Paired LE exercises are often practised in silence with a 25 min meditation before group discussions.
